UPDATE Jan 10, 2010:
See the latest Journal update here [link]

UPDATE DEC 21:
Sean is improving, by small amounts, but improving nonetheless. They have increased the frequency of his treatments, which is causing him to be sick from the chemo most of the time, but considering how heavy with Vitamin A that the mix is, it is understandable. Thank you all for your continued prayers and good wishes.

UPDATE August 12

The "Chip-In" in now closed, and the final tally, both directly and indirectly, came to over $1000. Thank you to all who were able to help with this, and also to those who tried. :cuddle:

He has been accepted for Medicare, and his Doctor is confident that he will be approved for SSI, so things are looking up for all of us, except for the wonderful folks named below, who started his Chip-In. They could use our help, now. Go here [link] and read the very first item in the header.

***********UPDATE!!!!!!!!!!**************

The amazing :icontam2u: has done a wonderful and amazing thing for my son...she has opened a Chip-In account [link] to help him.

Together with her Husband, Max, aka :iconnitchwarmer: , who I have no doubt has encouraged her in this (just as he is an encouragement in all that she does) have touched me beyond my ability to describe. Go and visit their pages and galleries, including their stock account :iconnitch-stock: and give them all the love and support that they deserve.

A further update: This wonderful Lady now has added a news article, too: [link]

PLEASE READ:

My oldest child, Sean, has Adult AML [link] .
He received his first treatment a few weeks ago. It made him too sick to even be able to keep water down.
He had filled out many forms for assistance, and was finally told he would be a part of a study group for new medications for the condition. He would receive full and complete treatment and after-care for free. Even if he was given the placebo during the program, they would give him proper treatment when the study was completed.
They did not inform him that this was contingent on passing certain blood tests. As it turns out, his first treatment caused such an improvement that he no longer qualifies for the study.

The condition was found due to required blood tests for a drug rehab program he is in, one that he has to pay for out of his own pocket. He has no insurance, so his Cancer treatments are out of his own pocket. Here is the dilema: he can NOT afford both, and if he drops the drug treatments in favor of the Cancer treatments...he will loose his job. If he pays for the drug treatments, he has nothing with which to pay for the Cancer treatments.

I can barely pay my own bills, and nobody else in the family is any better off than I am. He is frantic and loosing hope, and it is hard for the rest of us to be any more positive than he is. What is one to do?

I used the Male Stock a while back for another Manipulation. I used it back then because it looks so much like Sean, virtually identical to him in this pose. (For a moment, I thought it WAS him) So, since this is about Sean, I had to use it again.

Hi
Just wondered if i could put this pic on my face book page, am running a project to raise money for cancer by recording a song and selling it, whatever money it raises will then be donated to various cancer charities, obviously full credit will be published with the picture, hope you say yes.
