Flute of the Spirit Talker by colt51 Flute of the Spirit Talker by colt51
Oh Great Spirit, whose voice I hear in the winds
And whose breath gives life to everyone,
Hear me.
I come to you as one of your many children;
I am weak... I am small...I need your wisdom
and your strength.
Let me walk in beauty, and make my eyes ever
behold the red and purple sunsets.
Make my hands respect the things you have made,
and make my ears sharp so I may hear your voice.
Make me wise, so that I may understand what you
have taught my people and
The lessons you have hidden in each leaf and each rock.
I ask for wisdom and strength,
Not to be superior to my brothers, but to be able
to fight my greatest enemy, myself.
Make me ever ready to come before you with
clean hands and a straight eye,
So as life fades away as a fading sunset,
My spirit may come to you without shame.

I just got an e-mail from the nut. He says he is, for the next year, Big Chief Double Nickel. (He drives a big-rig for a living)

He likes it. I sent him the file without the copyright mark.

Ooh, I love the big American trucks, I have thousands of pic's of them on my computer, my faves are Kenworths and Macks :):)

I think his is an International Harvester cab, but I won't swear to it. I do know he was assigned a newer one sometime in the last three or four months.

Oh, you get him started, and he will have your sides aching from laughter in no time. I am older and slightly more experienced, but he is more gifted and much quicker.

So true. I suppose that is why they both speak so strongly to my spirit, as my mixed lineage includes both.

I am so glad you like it, dear. I wanted to do something for his birthday, and had a vague idea as to what, but the hide set in stone where I would go with it. So, thank you for having it available.

I have painted a ceramic bison skull for him, some years ago. And ,I made him a ceremonial Medicine Shield about 10 years ago, so the hide really caught my eye. (that stuff ain't cheap!)
